To be continued……………… ;The Sanctuary in PAI, is famous for its approach to Organic foods and cooking. Stuated on the banks of the river Pai, it is an architectural masterpiece. Inspired by the world famous "The Sanctuary" in Koh Phangan, this eatery takes taste sensations to the limit. Frequented by Thai film stars and the high society from Bangkok all guests are welcome. If you enjoy food then this is for you. Suprisingly even though the decor is sumptious and the seating very comfortable - this oasis is priced very reasonably. Easy to find, its by the bridge on the banks of the River Pai, very near the main School in the town of PAI. ;I just fall in love with the idea of staying in a white tent in a middle of beautiful scenery after I saw the photos of the resort from a local magazine. When I got there, the tent is exactly like the picture. It's even more beautiful at night with lighting shining out from each tent. We stayed there during the winter (November - February). So even though there's no fan or A/C, it's still cold. However, during the daytime, it's too hot to stay in the tent - no wind blows and like mention before No fan nor A/C. The bathroom and shower are sharing. And it's about 20 meters from the tent area. There's 4 shower rooms for men and 4 for women. 2 out of 4 has hot water. The shower looks like one of those village people's shower made of logs tying together and the bare cement floor. Breakfast of eggs, ham, toast and rice soup is included. The owner of the resort, an office girl turned to be a resort owner to pursue her mother's dream, cooked them herself. She also drive guests to walking street when she's available. My recommendation is to go there during warmer climates. And if you bring a couple friends, you can have a camp fire. ;We stayed for two nights at Belle Villa. The location is very good, we can see the mountain ranges from our villa. The bathroom is nicely done. The villa have a couch/reclining area next to the big bay window which is really nice. Plus, it gots a lovely balcony/terrace area where you can sit back with a cup of coffee admiring the Pai scenary.

;If you are planning a trip to Pai I have many helpful tips. Firstly don’t overlook the fact that Pai now has a flight from Chiang Mai once a day and as many as twice a day in the High Season. The trip is only 20 minutes where as by bus can take up to 4 hours. I have taken this flight many times and think it’s an amazing way to get a perspective of where Pai is. What is also great about this is both the Chiang Mai Airport and Pai Airport are within 5 minutes distance from their town centers, opposed to somewhere like Phuket where the airport journey can take anywhere up to 1 hour.
When you arrive in Pai don’t just limit yourself to guest houses in the town. There are some amazing resorts and guest houses on the outskirts of town. One of the wonderful things about Pai is its artist community which is expressed by many of the locals in the design of their guesthouses. The people of Pai are trying to be unique in their designs wanting to offer tourist something different. For example our bungalows are designed in a hexagonal shape with all the walls being French doors opening onto decking, allowing you the feeling of sleeping outside while safe under your mosquito net. Others are unique in their use of building materials, with walls made from mud and roofs made from leaves.
Most tourist already know about the elephants camps offering trekking and swimming with elephants but you can also just go see them and pay 10 baht for a bunch of banana which you can then feed to them. My daughter loves this and we spend many an afternoon visiting her elephant ‘Ot’ and feeing him bananas.
Breakfast is okay, with acceptable selections but can do much better with better coffee. Again, the view from the restaurant is very nice and relaxing.
The hotel is not far from the Pai township. It's walkable. The hotel also offers a drop-off and pick-up from the market in the evening.
All in all, this is a hotel worth staying in Pai.

;Its a little bit out of town but if you hire a motor bike (100baht in town per day) thats not a problem. We had a very nice stay, quiet and restfull. Staff were very nice and unintrusive. Very good value in the quiet season when booked through an internet booking site. Highly recommended.
;Four of us recently enjoyed our 2-night stay at Belle Villa. Our deluxe cottage (#13) was comfortable, clean, & spacious. It had a large king-size bed & baththroom/shower with a cute seating area in front of a large, wrap-around window. The bathroom was quite unique, as it had an open shower & an open screened-in area that offered a neat view & peaceful sounds at night. I really appreciated having a mini-bar & a safe in the room as well. The grounds of Belle Villa are meticulously groomed with an abundance of flowers. My only complaint about our cottage were the 2 roll-away beds stored underneath it & in plain view. That seemed a bit "tacky" in an otherwise pristine setting. There is free internet in the lobby. Only one computer though! The breakfast buffet was ample with cooked-to-order eggs available upon request. We ate both nights at their restaurant, which offered a delightful open-air, roomy dining experience. Since the dollar is a good value in Thailand, our total bill for these 2 evening meals (4 entrees & drinks) came to less than $37. The resort was not crowded, so we were waited on in first-class style. Not all the staff spoke English, & the young lady at the reception desk seemed to struggle with hers as well. We also took advantage of their outdoor pool after a full day of activities. Overall, I think the Belle Villa is a great value. I'd recommend two activities while in Pai: get up early one morning to go into the town to see the local monks come for alms (you can purchase a pre-packaged alms basket to give & have the monk chant/pray over you) & rent a 4-wheel ATV in town for a fun-filled, though quite dusty, guided ride in the countryside that includes a visit to a waterfall if desired (can book this at the resort).
;Two couples traveling on a customized tour spent two nights here. There are 23 'cottages' or bungalows that provide privacy & quiet. Each elevated bungalow has a small porch with two chairs & a small table. Large bathroom/dressing area with mini fridge. There is free internet access (one computer in the office area) if it is working. Staff is friendly, but with limited English. Because of this, we had problems with ordering food, but they were quickly resolved. Nice breakfast buffet w/ omelets/eggs cooked to order. Western items on dinner menu - burgers & club sandwiches - if you've tired of Thai food. We had to make two phone calls (noon & 2PM) to get our bungalows cleaned - & the place was not full by any means. Pool is an infinity pool; lovely flowers & trees on the grounds.
;we were in belle villa pai in april 2008 with two small kids. we stayed in bungalow 20 and 21 with a veranda in between, from the restaurant and pool you have a beautiful view on the surroundings. loved the food, room, bathroom. pai is a nice quiet place with a lovely atmosphere, we really enjoyed ourselves. recommend to hire a car, because it is too far to walk to the elephants, chinese village, lychees trees and so on. we hired a car on chiang mai airport and drove to pai (about 3,5 hours windy road, but beautiful scenery). the aiport in pai is also open now, and not far from the resort.
